Complications and emergency situations can occur at any time during surgical procedures. This session will teach you how to recognize those situations where immediate intervention may be necessary and how to appropriately respond in these circumstances. We will discuss how to treat bleeding at the time of surgery and how to manage swallowed implant parts.
Upon completion of this presentation, participants should be able to: 1) recognize a cardiac situation requiring intervention; 2) recognize the systemic sequella from diabetes; and 3) recognize the sequella from anti-coagulation and cardiac arrhythmias.
