Vertical Ridge Augmentation: Revisited
Istvan Urban, DMD, MD, PhD
Vertical bone augmentation presents one of the greatest challenges of bone regeneration in implant dentistry. This is primarily due to the difficulty of the surgical procedure and its potential complications.
This two-part presentation will give details of the technique of vertical bone and soft tissue regeneration with GBR, keys to success, and prevention and management of complications. New concepts will be introduced, including the use of a new novel reinforced PTFE mesh for select cases. Results of preclinical studies, as well as clinical and histological case examples will be presented.
